Yea, I'm positive that Mr. Burke's approval was needed on this one. Fletcher will stay on as "interim" GM until Burke's arrival, probably sooner rather then later. My prediction is before the season starts.

Agreed torque1. No way Wilson comes to to T.O without a long term deal, and no way Cliff gives it to him without the approval of the incoming GM.

Oh, and how is that contract extension coming in Anaheim for Burkey? Still held up for "personal" reasons? HMmmmmmm

He sure took a lot of credit for the Sharks continued playoff failures. He couldn't wait to blame his players and brag about his overall record as a coach. This guy is a windbag and his arrogance may even surprise the truest of Leaf fans. At least Paul Maurice mixed his arrogance with humor.

I had no issues with Paul Maurice as coach. He did the best with what he had to work with. I think Ron Wilson will also do that. But you can only do so much if the owners and GM are not supporting you 100%. The incoming GM will need to have full control to really make a difference. With that I have serious doubts.
