Back in Miami for the first time since he doused trade rumors that linked him to the Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade insisted Sunday he's prepared for anything thrown his way these days. Lately, that has included matters on and off the court. Wade, who has been training in Chicago to rehabilitate a left knee injury that cut short his season, said Sunday he's increased his workouts to include 5-on-5 scrimmage games. He remains on pace to participate in the United States team's July training camp in advance of the Summer Olympics.

bet the heat are over joyed to hear that he will play more basketball and have more chances to get hurt. he could really use the rest and try to get through a full season.

Rest is what he needs..... but he did play less than half the season, so he should be ready to miss 10+ games next season

I don't care if I was hurt too - not everybody gets a chance to play in the Olympics. I say play, and hope for the best.

If he plays in the olympics- the heat should have him sign a waiver absolving them from having to pay his contract if he goes on the DL
(won't happen....but ......)

the NBA is his job- tho olympics is an exibition

Is he still eyeing Star Jones as his dartboard?

June 9, 2008  12:26 PM ET

I am not surprised he wants to play. This year he can play for a team that will possibly win the gold (instead of last place).

D Wade needs to prove he's healthy.

WE DONT NEED HIM TO WIN THE GOLD. BUT I WOULD NOT MIND HAVING CHRIS PAUL.
