SMU AD interested in Irish job

SMU athletic director Steve Orsini said Monday he would be willing to listen to Notre Dame officials about their vacant AD position if he is contacted about the job. Orsini stressed that he and his family are happy in Dallas and excited about the future of SMU athletics but also added that the Notre Dame job is intriguing because it's at his alma mater. Orsini was a three-year letterman at fullback and a co-captain on Notre Dame's 1977 football national championship team. Orsini's connections to Notre Dame don't end with his ties to the football program. His wife, Amy, is from South Bend, Ind., and her mother and sister still live there.

Dr. Kevin White did a great job as AD for ND. Almost every sport has improved under his watch. But the football program has not "taken off". So why not bring in a guy who had the balls to hire George O'Leary after he was let go for lying. A guy who is apart of the ND family, someone that played football for the Irish.
A three-year letterman & co-captain from the 1977 NC team.

Yeah, but everybody knows that the No. 1 sport at ND is football and White didn't do so well there. In fact, as I said before, this is a movement out not up: ND rather than Duke should be a career goal. There is something in the air at South Bend these days and it isn't the "smell of victory in the morning." Buckle up, Irish: the seat belt sign is on.

"Are you sure you have enough megapixels in that camera to capture my humongous 75 pound, cube-shaped head?", said Charlie Weis to the photoghapher.

Another ND posting. Another field day for the haters. I love it, keep it coming. 11 National Championships and counting on our way back to the top.........

It's real, Sexton - and so are the weaknesses of the Irish going into this season.
