07:29 AM ET 06.10 | The White Sox avoided at least one potentially tough negotiating session, thanks to the Danks family. Pitcher John Danks and his younger brother Jordan, the Sox's seventh-round pick in last week's amateur draft, have switched their representation. John has dropped Scott Boras in favor of Jeff Berry, who also will serve as the family adviser for negotiations involving Jordan and the Sox. The switch was made this weekend, around the time the Sox selected Jordan, a junior outfielder at the University of Texas, two sources said. The Sox traditionally have avoided drafting amateur players advised by Boras in this decade. Boras does represent third baseman Joe Crede, who can become a free agent after this season. The two sides have avoided salary arbitration in each of the three winters Crede has been eligible.
