Mexico GK arrested in Chicago
Mexican national team goalkeeper Oswaldo Sanchez was arrested in Chicago on Monday shortly after helping Mexico defeat Peru in an exhibition at Soldier Field on Sunday. According to Telemundo Chicago, Sanchez and some of his teammates were kicked out of the Westin Hotel on 909 N. Michigan Ave. when guests complained about the noise the players were making in a hotel room. Hotel security later called the police when the players returned and Sanchez was arrested between five and six in the morning.

surprise, surprise.
He is sneaky. Look at that dirty little tackle he tried on Donovan a few years ago in Phoenix after the U.S. thumped em.

Of couse somebody as aracist as "I is the man" would say say the most moronic thing that comes to mind. Why don't you say something even remotely original. When will Americans finally get it we are not going anywhere we will be te majority alot sooner than you think. As far as Futbol goes our league is vastly superior we participate and win (Pachuca) South American tournaments. Sure th U.S. beats on their homeland but the U.S. has never beaten Mexico in Mexico. We will beat you in qualifying! We will take your job and do it better and faster! It's just a fact of life. go ahead deport a few thousand millions more will arrive to take their place

Classless tacos? Very original you are probaly the one that they are looking for in Colombus. Did you lose your job to a Mexican citizen? Too bad! Get used to it. Oh and we will be the najority maybe we will tell you to go back to Euorope. Regardless your comment is ignorant and moronic. Maybe next time you will actually have something to say "I".

I'm on that boat. I waved the white flag and married a Peruvian. Which reminds me - there's one more thing that Latins and Latinas have over "Americans"....

shouldn't be a race thing. He was a moronic pro athlete who thought he was above and beyond end of story.
PS what happened at that neutral site again, oh yeah U.S. won.

No it should not be about race. "I" made the comment. Mine was a response to a very offensive, insulting thing to say. Oh and yes the U.S. won that game it was the U.S. best world cup ever. They will struggle for years to reach that level again this current crop of players is much to robotic to play good soocer unless you think counting on Howard or Guzan to have the games of their lives everytime they are on the pitch is good soccer. It's time that they develop real soccer talent not just guys with all the physical tools. Athelticism and size does not a good player make case in point Oneywu!

Admit it as of right now and the past 6 years the US has been the better team in the region.

your like the students, I teach. I didn't say you said anything about race. Testy this afternoon. Why would you get all fired up by a comment like that anyway. See that is where people make mistakes, by you rambling about taking jobs, putting a million more hispanics here, blah, blah, is not good. You let that person get under your skin.
Yes Americans have had the physical tools, but not the passion or desire. The team I coached has seven hispanic americans on it and I pair them with other players (anglo-saxon, and african american) so they can hear about the passion for the game.
Just relax, like I said the original post was about a superstar thinking they were above the rules.

I find myself somewhere between the two positions staked out here-- There's no question Mexico and the USA are a pretty close match right now; there wasn't much to choose between them in Chicago last year apart from Benny's amazing strike. But there's also no question that the USA has dominated this series from about 2001 to now. I think the turning point was the 2-0 victory on a cold night in Columbus in that WC qualifier. Wolff, from barely on his own side of center, after 60 yards of breakaway, wrong foots-- Sanchez, I believe?
This business of Americans "lacking passion" could not come from someone who saw the 2nd half against Argentina in New Jersey Sunday. It sounds to me like the defensive, obnoxious arguments from history made by: a) Canadians, upon discovering Russians can play hockey; b) British, upon discovering in the 50s that Hungary was pretty good; or c) Americans, upon the realization that Argentina and Spain play better team basketball.

Peru is no team you want to get excited about beating. We beat Poland and didnt make a big deal about it and tied Argentina and no big deal either....so. We shall see in the qualifiers, we'll see you then and hopefully you guys play this drunk golie...that be funny!

The US really needs to forget about Mexico and focus on Europe and creating some meaningful rivalries there. We have dominated Mexico for the last 7 years and the US team is not any better because of it.
