North Carolina coach Roy Williams added to an already outstanding recruiting class Monday night when guard Leslie McDonald of Briarcrest Christian School in Memphis committed to the Tar Heels. McDonald is 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds and averaged 21 points per game last season as a junior. All-Star Sports recruiting analyst Bob Gibbons rates McDonald the eighth-best player in his Class of 2009 rankings.

I'm thinking he's got some baggage-
and Cal is staying away........

- but that's purely my thoughts- no factual basis

Roy knows how to recruit... should be a solid team next year.

This is another indication that Lawson is definitely leaving.

Anyone who thinks Roy would or ever has recruited a player with "baggage" they have no clue about Roy/UNC.

There's so much misinformation on these post it's ridiculous.

1. McDonald is not a 1 and done.

2. Cal is staying away from a player because of baggage? UNC taking a player with baggage? Do you not follow UNC or Memphis basketball?

3. This has absolutely no impact on Lawson. McDonald is a junior in high school Even if Lawson comes back this season, no one expects him to come back again for his senior year when McDonald finally enrolls.

How does one come to the conclusion that Lawson is leaving by a commitment from a high school junior SG/WF?

i agree with you calipari always takes the Kid with "baggage" thats all that he recuits he only got Rose because of sure luck the kid was a one year player and everyone of the big time programs stayed away..
