His house is on the market and technically he's unemployed, but Brian Rolston is in a good place. "I'm not worried about where my next paycheck is going to come from," he said Wednesday. It will come, and it will be a fat one. Rolston said he hopes it's from the Wild, but he isn't sweating it. "They told me at the end of the season they want me to be here, and we've been basically negotiating the whole time," Rolston said. "I'm optimistic we'll probably get something done." And if not ... "There's a market out there for me," he said. "It will be an exciting summer." Rolston is one of six unrestricted free agents the Wild can negotiate with exclusively before July 1. After that, other teams can pursue him.

Once again, the Tame are irrelevent. Most boring team in the NHL.

Who is the team's Captain? Oh, that's right, they switch captains every month. Only in Minnesota could they come up with something so stupid.

This is funny, nobody cares about the Tame. Poor, poor Minnesota.

No wonder you lost the North Stars and Lakers. Next, it's gonna be the LA Vikings.

just so we can shatter the illusion that thepatriotscheated is insane and talks to himself, I will post something.

come on devils, bring brian home...

I'd be more concerned with resigning Brian Rolston than Gaborik, if I was the Wild. With the style of hockey they play, Brian is a lot more valuable to that team than Marion is.

Evertonius,

Thanks buddy.

patriots cheated...youre an idiot

The wild have one of the strongest fan bases in the NHL. The owners are now realizing what it takes to win the cup. After struggling with the avalanche and then seeing them get swept by detroit told the wild something. They are going to be making some changes this offseason, maybe major, we'll have to wait and see.

Clouded this boy's future is.

June 13, 2008  06:57 PM ET

patritoscheated, you're pointless
Yes, teams leave Minnesota for LA or Dallas. But that is exactly what Minnesota is, a craddle for sports teams coming from a fan base that knows their sports.

Then those teams move on to more flashy places so that shallower fans like you who don't understand much about BUILDING a team from scratch can post stupid comments!

patroitscheated is getting bashed here, but, hey, he brought it on himself. Rolston is a solid two-way player and will find a home. He likes the mid-west, though. He's a Michigan boy (college hockey at Lake Superior State), so maybe he'll come home to the Red Wings and win a Cup.
