Marine Corps Dog!

A guy is driving around the back woods of Tennessee and he sees a sign in front of a broken down shanty-style house: 'Talking Dog for Sale'

He rings the bell and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in the backyard.

The guy goes into the back yard and sees a nice looking Beagle sitting there.
'Do you really talk?' he asks.

'Yep,' the Beagle replies.

After the guy recovers from the shock of hearing a dog talk, he says 'So, what's
your story?'

The Beagle looks up and says, 'Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was
pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so I told them and they had
me sworn into the toughest branch of the armed services...the United States Marines. You know, one of their nicknames is 'The Devil Dogs.'

"Well, in no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders --because no one figured a dog would be eaves-dropping. I was one of their most valuable spies for 8 years running, but all that jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any younger. So, I decided to settle down.

"I retired from the Corps (8 dog years is 56 Corps years, you know) and signed up for a job at the airport to do some undercover security, wandering near suspicious characters and listening in. I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded a batch of medals. I got married, had a mess of puppies, and now I'm just retired.'

The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog.

'Ten dollars,' the guy says.

'Ten dollars!?! This dog is amazing! Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?'

'Because he's such a bull-**** ... He never did any of that Marine Corps stuff. He was in the Navy!'

Anyone notice how much better a QB Manning was AFTER Shockey went down?

I will say it again. Send him to Miami, they need a tight end, and he went to college there.

it may be speculation if you want to believe that but don't you think at this point he needs to go? i mean he's a heck of TE but is anyone worth all this?? some of this may have been blown up but i'd have to believe that some of this has come from shockey and even through his own actions seems disinterested in a return to the world champs. i say get him outta there with the quickness. chalk this one as a lose or see what we can get for him in return. i'll just have to retire my shockey jersey.

Don't trade him! Keep him for at least one more season. He's great for team morale. He's a quality team player. And it'll be fun watching him interact with Coughlin. Think of all the positives.....

The Giants were a bad team that got on a good roll and walked with the trophy. They won't be going back. Shockey has ALWAYS been overrated and now with Burress whining you don't need two cancers. Ship him to someone dumb enough to give you something for him.
