Clippers to court Arenas again?

Though Gilbert Arenas spurned the Clippers for the Wizards a few years ago, sources here in Los Angeles indicate the Clippers are interested in making one more run at Arenas. It makes sense, provided the Wizards could find a sign-and-trade to their liking.

whatever

Don't let the door hit your back on your way out. Don't forget to carry off your lame legs with you

if gilbert is only about getting paid, which think he is not then he should go to the highest bidder whomever that maybe but if he wants a legit chance at making some playoff noise he should stay and play with what he's got already in DC.

He's abusiness man with average skills. A lot of hype and more injury prone. Keep it moving Gilbert

flashes of being a superstar, but not consistent enough to warrant the big bucks

June 13, 2008  10:10 AM ET

then livingston would come to miami

The bigger question is, "Where will Elton Brand be next year?" He's the real deal, and should be ready. Arenas can go to the Clips, but without Elton, that team cannot compete in the West.

Arenas will remain with WAS as will Brand. The LAC offseason hinges on the recovery of LIvingston. If he doesn't look like a viable asset, they'll buy him out so that he can retire. The Clippers need to worry about Maggette bailing and getting a viable option to replace him. As much as I like Arenas and his ability to score, he's not the best option in LA.

As long as Washington keeps Jamison.

June 13, 2008  11:35 AM ET

Wherever the money is calling... he will go. If you have it.. he will come.

June 13, 2008  11:47 AM ET

I am sick of hearing about Gilbert and his wants just play ball make millions and shut up.

June 13, 2008  11:51 AM ET

Arenas for Maggete and Tim Thomas

June 13, 2008  12:19 PM ET

I am not a Gilbert fan. If he wants to go to the Clips, I say let him. Do the deal Wizards and just get rid of the guy.

I cant stand palyers that b/i/t/c/h and moan about every little thing. Truth is they can be replaced. At any given time there are 100s of athletes foaming at the mouth at even the thought of being where these NBA players are. You get paid to play something hoopers do all around the world for free, for fun everything else but not for money.Yes they are talented but there is wasted talent all over the place they should take advantage of their opportunity instead of crying like little ho's because you didnt get this and that your way.

"The bigger question is, "Where will Elton Brand be next year?" He's the real deal, and should be ready.

Yes I know he's a career 20 10 guy.......and that is FANTASTIC.
But what has Elton Brand accomplished in the league ?

And don't say that he's on the clippers....its not his fault.
BULL,

He certainly has earned a large contract.....but he's been in the playoffs ONCE

June 13, 2008  12:43 PM ET

The Miami Heat players will be on here soon asking for him to go to.. Miami, like everyday.

June 13, 2008  12:46 PM ET

They'll need Arenas since Maggette will be gone and Livingston will blow another knee the next time he sneezes.

June 13, 2008  02:15 PM ET

take his monies and run

June 13, 2008  03:41 PM ET

I don't understand this trade since they have Maggette, I don't see how the two of them can play together to be quite honest. I think its a failed experiment with caron butler losing his edge when arenas is in the game so why would the clippers do the same thing?

June 13, 2008  03:41 PM ET

oops..trade in the above should be "move"
