Titans receiver Brandon Jones was arrested and issued a citation at Nashville International Airport on Friday for carrying a loaded .32 caliber gun in his baggage, an airport spokeswoman confirmed. Jones was arrested about 11:40 a.m. on a misdemeanor citation of unlawful possession of a firearm. He was released and allowed to board a flight to Phoenix. "Obviously I did not know I was carrying my gun. This morning I grabbed a bag and placed my clothing in the bag, then rushed to the airport. I had forgotten that the last time I had used the bag was when I went target shooting," Jones said.

It's 11:40 AM. Do you know where your gun is?

June 14, 2008  10:22 AM ET

Aren't you supposed to unload your gun AFTER you are done target shooting? Don't most people clean their gun AFTER target shooting? Don't most people remove the gun from the bag when they get home and lock the gun up in a safe place, away from children? Not this guy.

Sure thing, DSF. A .32 is not something Dirtty Harry would pack but it's big enough to do some serious harm if in the wrong hands!
