Panthers, Sens disagree on coach
New Panthers coach Peter DeBoer was a hot commodity this offseason, with the Ottawa Senators and Los Angeles Kings showing interest. DeBoer traveled to Barbados to interview with Ottawa owner Eugene Melnyk, although the Senators ended up hiring former Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks coach Craig Hartsburg on Friday morning. Florida GM Jacques Martin said DeBoer chose the Panthers over Ottawa, although the Senators had a different version of that story. A report in The Ottawa Sun said the team offered Hartsburg its job Thursday night.

Are they going to get into some mud slinging over WHO THEY DIDN'T get to coach their respective teams now? Interesting!
I think Ottawa got the right guy for their team. Craig Hartsburg will do a fine job for the Sens ..... if Murray let's him, that is.
Craig should have no problems relating to NHL players, he's one of them. He had a good NHL career as a D-man, as opposed to Peter DeBurro who was a perenial minor leaguer.

Bostongm...perhaps they will just get better goaltending. Will shots matter then?
The Sens will be fortunate to make it to the post-season next year. Competition in the EAst is going to be really tight again.
