You can't spend a day at One Buc Place lately without getting a glimpse of running back Cadillac Williams pushing himself through another workout as he attempts to come back from a devastating knee injury. As training camp nears, the idea of his 2008 return is gaining momentum. There was some sentiment the team might be willing to take a look at Cedric Benson, who was released last week by the Bears after his second arrest of the offseason. Turns out, the Bucs never considered making a waiver claim and haven't given any thought to bringing him in for a workout since he became a free agent Thursday.

Cadilac is a heck of a RB I hope that he can eventualy rebound from this injury, it's always hard to watch someone work so hard in rehab when they have like a 1% chance off ever getting to what they once were

What ever happend to the durable RB? Those days are gone, the only one I can think of right now is LT.

Hope he can return and be productive. He has talent.

CW is a bust, why would they even consider bringing in another bust in Benson from the same year?

June 15, 2008  01:22 PM ET

The NFL has really become a 2 back league. Gone are the day of Walter Payton carrying the ball every down. Now the load is almost always shared. Even Adrian Petersen and Tomlinson were rotated alot with the 2nd back.

Give Cadillac a chance to show he is fully healed and ready before going after another back. And forget Benson why not look at Shaun Alexander or one of the other veterans who still got some left in the tank are more proven.

Nice to see a player be quiet and go about his business - GOOD LUCK ON YOUR COMEBACK !!!

Dear Mr. Hank Hill: Yes, where are the durable running backs? Did you ever look at Cadillac's carries per game? Ever look at the pencil necked noodle armed defenders RBs used to hit or be hit by? This dude has the class and quiet of a Cadillac of course most of the gangstas around here probably like Acura's, Infiniitys or just good old Avalons. Remember what TL and Rl stand for...

Thanx for hating on the Saints, showing Cadillac breaking away.

I can't believe the 'Bucs would pass on Benson. They recently signed Jeremy Stevens and all he has done is rape a teenager. If given time and proper guidance, Benson could elevate his game to violent crimes as well.
