McNabb tired of injury questions

Donovan McNabb knows that some Eagles fans have questions about the quarterback's current ailment, his injury history, and his ability to lead the team to a Super Bowl title, which he and those fans want very badly. "I do think it gets blown way out of proportion. With the injury, if you don't say anything, then people think it's bigger than what it is and if you do say something, some people still think you're hiding something. It's a no-win situation and I've been part of them for a long time. I've heard people say, 'Donovan is fat,' I'm out of shape and I'm too big. I just don't get caught up in it."

How come this guy doesn't get more respect? I don't follow Philly, so am I missing something? He seems like a class act and a real competitor.

Damn this dude lookin like a weigth-room meat head like Neil O' Donnell

He doesn't get respect because he's always hurt. I'm amazed he's still in Philly. And yes, he looks fat.

Now I know where the name McChunky came from.

I knew there would come a day when McNabb would not be able to rely on his legs anymore. Now that he has to sit in the pocket, his true quarterbacking skills are showing. I never realized how inaccurate he could be at times. Don't get me wrong, I'd still want him on my team, but only if it were for a hot dog eating contest.

Hes the David Boston of quarterbacks. As a quaterback you dont need 18" biceps and all that crap it limits your flexability and hes problably carrying too much of a load on his joints and his frame and thats why hes hurt all the time

June 15, 2008  11:28 AM ET

It's because of your race. Isn't that what you cried about last year Donovan?

June 15, 2008  11:28 AM ET

He won't last the season.

June 15, 2008  12:20 PM ET

The Bills, 49ers, Bucs, Lions, Dolphins, Giants, Chargers, Ravens, Broncos, Bears, Packers, Chiefs, Raiders, Falcons, Texans, Jets, Titans, Panthers, Rams, Saints, Redskins and Cardinals could use his services.

Maybe Marino should tell him about NutraSystem.

June 15, 2008  01:48 PM ET

When healthy, which is a big question every year with McNabb. You can't honestly depend on him for 16 games a year anymore..
