Wild can't afford Rolston & Demitra

Wild general manager Doug Risebrough said Friday he will offer Pierre-Marc Bouchard a multiyear contract after July 1, and that re-signing Brian Rolston is his top priority. "The most important guy is Rolston," said Risebrough, who wants to have the veteran right winger under contract within the week so he knows how to maneuver at the NHL draft next week in Ottawa. Rolston, 35, has averaged 32 goals and 35 assists -- and has missed only five games -- in his three seasons with Minnesota. That consistency, and his $2.43 million salary, has put him ahead of Pavol Demitra on Risebrough's priority list...If Rolston doesn't sign, the Wild could turn their attention to Demitra, but one thing is certain: "Both are not coming back," Risebrough said."

The Tame should really consider a new coach as their priority. Have any of you guys watched this team? BORING!!!!!

First off, patscheated, I, being a Caps fan, only got to see the Wild play a few times and I liked watching it. I thought they were fun to watch. anyway, unless they are paying Backstrom and Gaborik ridiculous amounts I dont' see why not. If the pens can afford all the players they had and the Red wings can afford all their stars and the Rangers can afford everyone they had, it seems like the Wild should have no problem paying their 4 "stars" (Rolston, Demitra, Gaborik, Backstrom and you can throw Bouchard in if you want) Those guys still aren't the same level as Zetterburg, Datsyuk, Lidstrom, Osgood, etc. or Drury, Jagr, Shannahan, Lundqvist, etc.

It could very well be that Dougy wants to keep some options open and some money available h-town.

demitras probably dying to get out of the trap/dump n chase system in minnesota. the only wild game ive ever watched was gaborik's 5 goal game against the rangers. now he should be on the market

They're lucky to be getting Rolson back. He's the loyal type, and a good leader. They should give him the 'C' and leave it on him.

In Minnesota, they pass around the "C" like it was Anna Kournikova.

Listen, I've seen your posts on other threads, and I know you're going for witty...it isn't working. Maybe you should go play in the football rooms or something. The moniker you've chosen leads one to believe you're much more interested in the NFL...please...
