Bucks likely to trade a guard

It's almost a foregone conclusion that either Michael Redd or Mo Williams will be jettisoned to another zip code this summer. Redd has piqued the curiosity of a bunch of teams, including the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers. But Redd has two guaranteed years left on his contract for $33 million, plus a player's option for another $18.3 million. Williams is guaranteed $35 million over the next four years plus a player's option for another $8.5 million. Some NBA officials believe the Bucks could obtain a mid-to-late first-round pick for Williams.

Trade Redd. He seems to be a very selfish guy who just wants to score points and not play any defense and I think it would rid some of the cancer from the roster because that team is a bunch of individuals.

Trade Mo to Orlando for the #22 pick and take that French dude, Nicolas Batum.

All about money.. unless you are old.. they pretty much will go anywhere now for the big bucks..

June 16, 2008  09:09 AM ET

I wouldn't be shocked to see Redd in a Pistons jersey. Why? Well, look for John Hammond to try to fill team voids with players he is familiar with...

I can't see the knicks being interested.....
too much $ (and years) to invest when they are nowhere near competing for anything.

I could see cleveland, who obviously needs a 2 guard that can SHOOT
Or possibly if the Nets could somehow unload Vince

June 16, 2008  09:24 AM ET

They should try to keep red

June 16, 2008  09:46 AM ET

Redd will make any team a playoff contender.... Miami would be a nice spot for him

June 16, 2008  09:51 AM ET

I'm not sure what to think about Redd's game I think he's a great shooter an would probably be great on a good team as a 2nd or 3rd option but I can't see him being the man and taking the Bucks anywhere.

Plus he isn't a 2 way player. Doesn't play any defense whatsoever.

"I'm not sure what to think about Redd's game "

- not sure why you are confused....you are RIGHT ON THE MONEY

June 16, 2008  09:56 AM ET

the truth is their best guard is sessions and miami want himmmmmmmmmm

June 16, 2008  09:57 AM ET

Heat fan, hate to burst your bubble but you dont want Eddy Curry. He is horrible. I watched him here in Chicago and while the Bulls may not be the best at growing and working with big men, he has only gotten worse since going to the knicks. Trust me, if the heat want him, offer no more than a bag of chips and a coke for him.

June 16, 2008  09:58 AM ET

Trade Redd for sure. You can probably get younger and more athletic with that pick at number 8.

June 16, 2008  10:10 AM ET

By the way... I knew the NBA would not want the Celts to lose money and end it early. I am not so sure they did not want it at home anyway. Did you see the shots taken the final 2 minutes??? bizarre.. Celts in 6... I said that at the start.

June 16, 2008  10:10 AM ET

If Mia had pieces, we'd love Redd. But we don't...unless the bucks want Davis & Wht Choc...

Im sure if you played for the Bucks too, you would give up on other aspects of the game aswell.
