Sad to hear the quote, because everything I've read suggests that Mendenhall is a class act. But there's friction in even the best of circumstances. Zook shows his class with his response. How did the people in FLA let this guy go?

The people of FLA let him go because he couldnt win, when it counted. He was/is a great recruiter though.

Hey rashard, if not for Ron Zook, you would have been on a 2 or 3 win team last year. Say what you want about Zook, but the guy can recruit and he has turned that Illinois program around. Sounds like the Mendenhall brothers are spoiled babies and when Walter didn't get the PT he wanted, he transferred to Illinois State. Rashard is upset that his lil bro didnt get handed the starting job so he is bad mouthing Zook. What a mature guy!

Zook rides his start players too much and doesnt know when to substitute. Florida had big leads in the games he lost but blew them to fatigued players in the forth quater as Zook refused to know when to change out the lines and secondary. Regardless thouth RM needs to say what is specifically bothering him about Zook instead of being vague. If he is not going to spit it out then he needs to shut it up.

Walter is Rashard's older brother who doesn't have the talent of Rashard....he was a 5th year senior who is would be 4th on the depth chart behind two freshman and a sophmore. I do love a Mendenhall at the ILSTU

Nothing against Illinois, but I don't think they deserved to be in the Rose Bowl. They lucked into that game when WVU was upset and they got in because of a screwed up system. Illinois had a great season compared with previous seasons, but they were a step below that elite level and would have been better suited and more competitive in a non-BCS game.

Classless move by Mendenhall, who pretty much seemed like a good guy up to this point. Nobody cared about Mendenhall before Zook resuscitated that dormant program, guy has got some nerve. You're gone Rashard, worry about the Steelers and not your not-good-as-you brother.

Now I'm even happier the Bears didn't draft him. He's had an injury already and is showing he is a petty disgruntled me first, throw the team under the bus type player who can't keep his mouth shut.

Zook is a class act for not stooping to Stupid's level.

It's one thing to support your brother but to insult the man that had a HUGE hand in you becoming the player that you are, and a millionaire, is pretty classless.
