06:36 AM ET 06.17 | The Celtics finally made it home from Los Angeles last night, although the team arrived without guard Ray Allen. The Celtics' flight out of LA International Airport was delayed yesterday when their plane experienced mechanical problems. The team eventually switched planes and took off at 2:30 Pacific Time (5:30 EDT), arriving at Logan Airport at 10:30. Allen, who rushed from Staples Center after Sunday night's loss to the Lakers in Game 5 of the NBA Finals because of "health issues" involving one of his sons, remained in Los Angeles while the child continued to undergo tests at a hospital. Allen has two sons and a daughter. Some of the players' family members made the journey to Los Angeles for Games 3, 4 and 5 of the Finals. Celtics spokesman Jeff Twiss said Allen planned to fly out late last night or first thing this morning and expected to play in Game 6 tonight at the Garden.
