Birk OK with current contract
Earlier in the offseason, the agent for Pro Bowl center Matt Birk discussed the possibility of signing a long-term contract with the Vikings that would ensure the St. Paul native would retire with the club. Agent Joe Linta and the Vikings had their issues, and they chose to stick to the two years left on Birk's current deal.
