Quinn may hold out of Browns' camp
Browns insiders say there's a good chance agent Tom Condon will hold out Brady Quinn once training camp starts. The Browns, despite trading up to make Quinn their second first-round pick, don't really want the rookie quarterback playing early in his rookie season. Browns coaches would like to see Charlie Frye maintain the job. So far, the Browns and Condon have not done much talking.

Quinn needs to get into camp and get the offense down. Charlie Frye may start the season but Quinn is gonna play. Get your money, Brady, no harm in that but don't let your agent puppet you around and cost you valuable practice time.

Hey Brady, get to camp and don't become an Eli Manning. Shut up, learn the ropes of what it takes to be an elite NFL qb and wait for your time which will come soon. Why would you want to start this season, running for your life on a bad club, get battered, possibly injured? All players want to play, but take the Steve McNair approach. Learn first, then play.

i don't understand how athletes let their agents basically rule their lives. quinn NEEDS to be in camp if he wants to play and gain the respect of his teammates. he will get paid, and he shouldnt let his agent hold him out just because he wants more money than he'll ever need. playing football is quinn's job, not bargaining for more money

It looks like Quinn didn't fall far enough in the draft... If there's a holdout, there's only going to be MORE pressure on him to be an All-Pro from his very first game. And we all know how Quinn performs under pressure.

Wow, what a slap in the face of the organization that stuck its neck out by trading up to get him and kept him in the first round.

The agents think their primary job is to get the most money for their client. The more money the client gets, the more the agent gets. That's how the majority of them think - putting dollars in their pocket. I really don't think a lot of agents think "hey let's take a couple of million less just so you can get into camp on time. This will make you a better player in te long run."

not a good showing by someone whos yet to play an NFL down and be the future of the franchise? Whos his agent Drew Rosenhaus? He needs to be there PERIOD Maybe he thinks he already knows the offense?

Brady Quinn needs to look clearly at his situation. I guess the draft fall on his head was not enough to wake him up. If he misses camp then he will literally get dumped on his head a few times more. I thought he was more mature, maybe that is why all of the other teams bypassed him. Way to repay the home team for taking a chance on your skill set. Brady you will get to play soon enough and may turn out to be a good NFL Quarterback but be the good professional also.

So that's what Cheeseburger Charlie taught Brady about the NFL, how to be a crybaby. Quinn did great crying on draft day and now the 22nd pick is going to hold out because he might not play right away. Whaaaaaaaaaaaah

I wonder if having the agent he has had any effect on him not being drafted? Fine - don't sign. He was a late 1 - and the Browns draft position that they give up - noone will know until the end of the year. Wilson held out last year too and you see where it got him.
I hope the Browns take a firm stance and tell him you was not in the top 10. You won't get top 10 money. If he doesnt show up on time, his chances to play this year could be about nil. And it will serve him right. I'd like to see Frye get a good chance to start anyway.

jamarcus has got a better shot to be a bust then quinn, he'll be alright, If he wasn't on the team they would have never made it to the sugar bowl. They probaly wouldn't have even made a bowl game. Look at all the quarterbacks who have held out. They don't do too good. If he holds out, there is a good chance he will bust.

Wow dumb move. Hey brady just ask edwards what holding out your rookie year will do. He barely played the first half of his first year. Crennel despises holdouts and everyone knows if Brady holds out he's gonna have to work real hard to regain the coaches confidence. Again DUMB MOVE

I like Notre Dame and Quinn, but if he holds out, I will lose a lot of respect for him not that he cares. I hate holdouts. These guys will make more in their first contract than most of us will make in our lifetimes and still they cry.
Remember how much holding out helped Heath Schuler.

Cleveland fans, enjoy your Indians and Cavs. The Browns will probably not be any good for a few more seasons, minimum. Quinn is another Rick Mirer. The guy played horribly in most big games in his college career, which to me means that it's about 99% likely that he'll be no good in the NFL.

brady, brady, brady....what is wrong with you? you said this was your dream come true to play for your home team! now your going to be a hold out? so much for getting in there and learning the ropes. you kids are so greedy anymore. you feel everyone owes you the world! i say put-up or shut-up. if your good after your first 1 1/2, we will pay you more money. right now you havent proven anything to the city of cleveland except how to CHOKE in the big game!
