Draft may trigger Jokinen trade

Center Olli Jokinen always has insisted he wants to remain with the Panthers, but his agent said Wednesday that with trade rumors resurfacing, Jokinen now cares only that a decision is made. "All year, pretty much, he's been playing with this hanging over him," said Mark Gandler, Jokinen's agent. "He really doesn't want to worry about it anymore. It's going to be what it's going to be. The organization has to make a decision which way to go, and he's fine with whatever the organization decides. ...We would welcome whatever direction." A TSN report Tuesday night, citing no sources, claimed Jokinen has indicated to General Manager Jacques Martin that he wants to be traded.

I'm guessing he ends up in St. Louis, Columbus or Toronto.

If he was 3 years older, I'd say the Rangers might get him, (as a Rangers fan, you need a sense of humour about this)

Same goes with the train wreck of the Leafs. If they end up getting him they'll give up 3 prospects to do it.

Amazing how none of the other Original 6 caught this illness like Toronto and NY

Well detroit kind of did but they did it with the best coach of all time so it was ok, Bowman had a game plan, and they followed it.

I'm thinking St. Louis or maybe Phoenix depending on who gives the Panthers the better deal

I think he wouldn't mind being traded to a team in the playoff hunt, seeing as how he has never played a single playoff game. Poor lad.

Though maybe not as consistant as he should be, he's a fine goal scorer with a rocket shot. I've seen enough Penguins/Panthers games to know that. I agree. He'd welcome a trade to a contending team. But which one? Jokinen to the San Jose Sharks for less productive Patrick Marleau. He would be deadly on the power play with Thornton. Perhaps that's the spark Jumbo Joe & Co. need to get over the hump.

Jokinen to the Sens for Mike Fisher and Chris Philips? Jacques Martin is a big Fisher fan...
