The Anaheim Ducks will find out Friday whether or not defenceman Scott Niedermayer will be joining them for the 2008-09 season. Niedermayer's agent, Kevin Epp of Titan Sports Management told TSN on Wednesday that his client will inform general manager Brian Burke of what his future plans will be - playing out the last season of his contract or retiring. "We hope to have an answer Friday with what he hopes to do with his future in hockey," Epp told TSN. "I couldn't say one way or the other. I think he doesn't even know somedays."

Since this is a waste of an article I'll post something interesting:

"The NHL has proposed disciplinary proceedings against MSG that could result in the suspension or termination of their ownership of the NHL Rangers, according to a draft letter written by NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman that was filed in New York district court late yesterday. The letter, part of the league???s ongoing legal fight against MSG, alleges that MSG ??? by suing the NHL ??? has violated the league constitution."

Looks like the smily weasel really wants the NHL to control the Rangers. Kind of like the MLB and the Expos--they hated the Expos. I hate Dolan but I despise Bettman even more. Also, where would the Rangers play if they can't play in MSG? GO MSG!

This is exactly what I've been on about. Violated the league Constitution? How? By wanting to control their own team website?
Bettman has to be a real dirtbag if I support DOLAN over him

BETTMAN S***S

June 19, 2008  11:34 AM ET

well that's a no-brainer

ummm lemme see dolan ... bettman ... dolan ..... bettman

DOLAN by a landslide...he's an idiot but bettman is a total ****_hole

That team better stay in MSG. I'm not traveling to New Jersey to see them. I LOVE THAT PLACE!!!!!!!!!

This is all about merchandising. MSG wanting to control their own website for the team they HAPPEN TO OWN and MSG conducting their own TShirt sales.

No wonder the league let teams get away with murder on Jagr and called him for every little hook they could muster.

Another one of those stories you wish would just go away!

This just further proves what an idiot Bettman is. Let's take a team with a strng fan base, in the biggest tv market...and pick a fight with them

At the risk of being banished to the football threads I'm not entirely sure what you mean, unless you are telling me that Bettman is a charlatan who tricked people into thinking he could do the job ..... guess I'l just go and look it up!
