Well this is certainly unexpected. Ribery & Luca Toni should be enough to get Bayern back into the CL.

Bayern will be a major force next year if they keep ringing in these changes

It might mess with chemistry. I never like too many transfers or free agent signings. Too many big names can hurt. But by not making the Champs League, it is a risk that has to be taken. GO CELTIC!

haha when did they have any chemistry to begin with? these signing are two safe sound good players who dont cause any trouble in the locker room and are good for a bayern system

Yes, probably both are good signings as something had to be done if they want to be the best in Germany and compete with other big European teams.

U Heard it first DUMBEST MOVE OF THE YEAR. Ribery says he wants to play in the Champions League, so Marseille qualify & Bayern don't so he goes there when other teams such as Arsenal & Real want him? Makes no sense. He's going to have to wait another year to play in the CL. Makes no sense. I know Bayern got better with him & Toni but two players cannot change a whole team around. Bayern better qualify or win the Bundesliga. Dummy!!

Wow this is great for bayern. Their squad will be very very deep. The lineup could be something like Kahn, Sagnol, Lahm (or Jansen), Van Buyten, Lucio (or Ismael), Van Bommel, Ribery, Schweini (or the new Argentinean kid Jose Ernesto Sosa), Jan Schlaudraff (or Altintop), Luca Toni, Makaay (or Podolski). That is a great team right there. They might also get Klose and Robben, which would be ridiculous. They will seriously chalenge for the champions league trophy after next season. And with Ottmar Hitzfeld back, they have a proven winner in that he has won the champions league twice. It's an all-star team baby!

IT GIVES BAYERN ONE YEAR TO GET IT TOGETHER ..... RYBERY IS GOING TO BE HUGE, WHEN HE FIGURES OUT HOW TO SAVE HIS ENERGY FOR THE WHOLE 90 MIN. I JUST LOVE WATCHING THIS GUY. AND HE WILL GET PLENTY OF PLAYING TIME, WHICH ARSENAL COUDNT PROMISE HIM AND AS FAR AS REAL, WHO KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEND THERE AFTER THIS YEAR. WELL DONE ON BOTH SIDES !
DINO .... U HEARD IT FIRST, DUMBEST POST OF THE YEAR !LOL

I think Ribery made a good move. At first you might think that why would he want to come to Bayern because they didnt qualify for CL, instead he could have gone to Madrid or Arsenal. But if you really think about it, he made the right choice because Bayern has a lot of potentials now with the new signings. He is just not thinking about next season, he is thinking about future years.
I must add that i think going to Madrid is a big mistake because they always buy better players every year to replace you.

I actually like this move not just for Ribery, but because it will hopefully spread the wealth out among the leagues. Obviously there's the G-14, which plays in their own league, but lately it's been more like the G-6 or 8. If the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 can start to play at the level of La Liga, EPL and Serie A it will make European competions much better. Both leagues had solid showings in Europe I hope it continues (though not at the expense of Man U).

I really thought that Ribery's style would be a better fit for the EPL. It's odd to think that Marseille will be playing in the Champions League-And Bayern Munich won't be. Some people refer to Bayern as "Team Turmoil", but compared to the poor organization the has come to plague Olympique Marseille, I think that this speaks volumes as to how badly he wants out of Marseille.

wow, that is great. but i tot Ribery will play for EPL(ARSENAL FC) bcos its the best league so far in europe. And that is the club that befeats his pattern of football. well, all the best for him. his going to Real Madrid will add as a big boost for the club with the arrival of LUCA TONI, wow that will be a great force
in all its a good decision anyway. More grease to his elbow

Bayern still needs a few more players to get back to top 8 CL status but this is a good start. Would be nice to have Ballack back.

Barca is supposed to be interested in Santa Cruz. Maybe Bayern could do a player (Santa Cruz) and cash trade for Deco. That would completely solidify Bayern's lineup by getting a play making midfielder. There were rumors a month or so back about Bayern going after Deco. Hopefully.

Wow...he wants out of Marseilles that badly. Bayern did promise major changes, and with Ribery and Toni joining, they certainly are making them. I held out hope he would come to Arsenal, but u can't get them all.....

if bayern goes after one more player it'll likely be Arjen Robben, who they've been dying to get, or dont be shocked now, if they get Ballack back for a fraction of what he's worth. if they could bring Ballack who would help more being he's played in thes system before, i'd put good money on Bayern winning the UEFA cup and then getting into the champions league for the next season
