Who to draft? Who to trade? Who to hire? Who to sign? These are all questions the Kings face over the next month, and there don't appear to be any simple answers. This is a crucial offseason for the Kings, one that revs up today with the first round of the NHL's entry draft. The Kings hold the No. 2 overall pick and are almost certain to land 18-year-old defenseman Drew Doughty.

"Kings to draft defenseman"

Now, that's a revelation, right there! Seeing how #2, #3, #4, #5 and #6 are D-men!

Ha, Ha! Good catch, DC!

If the malkin for the #2 rumours are true, i say the kings should take it.

If I was the Kings, I wouldn't make that trade, Guga!

If Malkin is being offered the Kings would be NUTS (as usual) not to seriously make this trade. If they can do it giving the Pens the nbr 2 pick and without giving up Kopitar, Brown, Johnson and Hickey they should do it without any hesitation. I would offer them pretty much any of the remaining players to include Frolof and Cammerleri and whatever else it might take to get this deal done. The problem starts and ends with the KINGS management who have been reluctent to obtain any major stars to LA because of the salaries they command and Malkin won't come cheap. But just think what he would bring to LA in terms of boosting season ticket sales. Malkin would become LA's hockey's answer to KOBE and he didn't do to bad this year coming in second while the KINGS came in second to last. Being a 25 year+ Kings season ticket holder I say make the trade if its has in fact been offered and for ONCE show the LA fans this organization is committed to bringing a competitive team to Los Angeles. Right now this team is a joke.
