Sources: Packers aren't on Taylor's list

The Packers might have at least some interest in trading for Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor, but the curiosity isn't mutual at the moment. The Packers are not on the lengthy list of teams Taylor would like to join in a trade, according to multiple sources close to the situation. And it doesn't appear they'll be added any time soon. "I don't see it happening," a source close to Taylor said Friday.

Of course it is not on his list. He would actually have to concentrate on playing football if he went there.

June 21, 2008  08:28 AM ET

this guy is just dumb. He has a chance to win the super bowl in GB, he has a chance to start opposite another great DE...but GB isnt on his list...idiot.

June 21, 2008  08:31 AM ET

Guess there are places worse than where he is. This tells me it is more about him than Miami or Parcells or anything else. If he truly wanted out that bad, he would have 31 teams on his list..
And no, he has no entitlement to being on a winner because of who he is. That comes under the heading of absurd....Last time I looked, it was considered a team game..

June 21, 2008  09:24 AM ET

I guess he doesn't think rogers can stay healthy for 16 games either, seems to be a common thought these days .

June 21, 2008  09:27 AM ET

CIA you a Packer fan? You guys thinking SuperBowl!!! I knew there was lead in the water in that lovely town of GB.

June 21, 2008  09:28 AM ET

Chance to win the super Bowl?.....The Packers have as much chance at winning the Super Bowl in the post-Farve era, as the Brewers did in thinking that they were going to win the MLB NL Central division last year!!

June 21, 2008  09:48 AM ET

Lazymike and Mikesturn, you guys have pickled what little brains you had. Are you saying the Packers, who went to the NFC title game last year, have no shot at the Super Bowl? Because, if so, that would be an asinine attempt at talking while hoping that people believed what you're saying.

You guys probably thought the Bears were going to be great last year. And, let me guess, you predicted that the Browns would win 10 games, right?

In the NFL, you just don't know.

June 21, 2008  09:54 AM ET

lol.

Packers covet him
But he covets team
And they want somebody else
fans just can't win..

June 21, 2008  10:08 AM ET

He's not very smart, is he? First, he says he only wants to play for one more year. Now, he's crossing teams off his list. What a dumbazz! At least you could use the teams you don't want as leverage on teams you do want!

June 21, 2008  10:30 AM ET

I honestly don't see him going anywhere. No team will give Parcells what he wants for Taylor and the man is too stubborn. But as for Green Bay it is nothing like Miami and that is why Taylor doesn't want to be there.

June 21, 2008  10:42 AM ET

A player that only helps produce one win in the previous season, doesn't deserve to go to a contender. Therefore, he should sign with Green Bay!

Drunk Eli you must have had a lapse of sobriety with that comment - EXCELLENT !!!

June 21, 2008  11:07 AM ET

Beggars can't be choosers. I just went back to the Parcells camp

June 21, 2008  11:24 AM ET

He's not coming back to football to win a championship. He wants to stay in the spotlight beyond football, so he'll end up in one of the larger markets. This move just underscores how his heart isn't in it for the right reasons... and any team that takes him better make sure they are able to motivate him.

June 21, 2008  11:29 AM ET

He wants to play for a contender. The packers will be pretenders, not contenders.

June 21, 2008  11:35 AM ET

that is because he wants to be a COWBOY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they have an extra 3rd and 4th rounder........... Taylor just has to rework his contract and stay longer

June 21, 2008  11:46 AM ET

Man/child wants to play on team with no accountability.

June 21, 2008  11:49 AM ET

Jason Taylor, whether he likes it or not, will remain a Dolphin.

June 21, 2008  11:59 AM ET

I don't blame him. First, you don't know what you have in Aaron Rodgers. Second, who would want to move from South Beach,MIA to Green Bay?
