Sport.es reports that, despite manager Pep Guardiola's statement that he doesn't anticipate using Samuel Eto'o for next season, the Cameroonian striker is in no particular rush to leave Barcelona.

It's a hard city to leave.

is that bcause no one wants him or wants to pay him hugewages?

I wonder where he'll end up. Eto'o is still a scary forward to defend

Well he's clearly worn out his welcome with the club and I'm sure that even before Guardiola's 'State of The Union' speech as to who was staying and who was leaving Eto'o pretty much knew his fate with the team. I'm very sad to see him go but I know it's what's best for the club. Say what you will about it being the fans to blame but that's realy a spapegoat excuse. Eto'o pretty much made his own bed and sealed his own fate with the club. His attitude in the locker room and in the media was no longer tolerable. One day he says he wants to stay with the club and finish out his contract. The next day he's threatening to leave if team doesn't win any "silverware" right smack in the middle of their Champions League run. He was becoming too much of a nuisance and distraction to the team. And Pep's looking to clean house and ring in a whole new positive attitude with the team. He's very conscious abot having a tight knit locker room. It'll be a sad day nontheless the day he leaves Barcelona for good. Despite the enormous baggage he carries with him, his performance for the club on the pitch was undeniable. It will be quite sometime before Barcelona can replace that #9. I wish him well wherever he winds up.

I think he'll wind up either in the EPL or Serie A. I don't see Eto'o moving to Arsenal even if Adebayor is sold. If that was the case Arsenal and Barcelona would have been talking already about a straight swap of the strikers. He's already made his opinion known on Tottenham. Liverpool is out. That pretty much leaves Chelsea. Just a hunch but I don't see him and Drogba partnering together at Stamford Bridge. I think if Chelsea is interested in Eto'o they'll move Drogba to Milan. The only thing clear at this point is that he's leaving Barcelona for sure. He's got two years left on his contract so Barcelona have to sell him NOW if they expect to get the most for him. If they were to hold onto to him for this upcoming season they can pretty much kiss goodbye getting anything worthwhile for him with him entering the final year of his contract. He could just as well play out his contract and leave Barcelona high and dry with nothing to show for in return. Barcelona don't want a repeat of Dos Santos (entering the final year of his contract and having to sell low versus not getting anything for him in return next summer.)

Eto'o is confused a bit here - his bags have already been packed for him. The only question is where he is being sent.

i heard he was going to Man United

Why be in a hurry when there is still over a month more before the start of the season? He is not going to stay and I really hope he goes to a team that will use him to the best of his capabilities.

He's gone to the EPL. Probably to Chelsea if Drogba or Schevchenko leave or Arsenal if Adebayor goes to AC Milan.

He failed a medical at Arsenal so I doubt he will go there although AW said he was one that got away
