Browns, Chargers talking trade

The signing of Mark Jones yesterday, in itself, is not a big deal. Jones, a receiver and punt returner, faces a major challenge making the Chargers' opening day roster. But the presence of the four-year veteran gives the Chargers yet another option at receiver, where they will by training camp be without one of their most prolific and dependable pass catchers over the past five years. Sources said yesterday the Chargers have fielded calls from several teams about trading Eric Parker and that Parker will be traded or released by the start of training camp next month. The Browns, whose offensive coordinator is former Chargers tight ends coach Rob Chudzinksi, are among the teams that have shown interest in Parker. The Chargers are believed to be asking for a draft pick somewhere in the final three rounds.

This guy (Crennel) is one good work-out away from heatstroke/heart attack. Seriously. Hard to believe this guy is a professional athlete.

He is so out of shape even though he is only a coach, all else you said still applies.

HA HA, guess I should pay better attention to who are the coaches/players. Just looking at this guy though, makes me want to offer him a chair and a cold drink.

Welcome to the NFL's version of the dead period. Most minicamps and OTA's are done. Most camps don't open for 4-5 weeks. Nothing major happens now. Ever. It is a dessert of NFL news. I hate this time of year more than anything. Cmon late July. Get here already.

Go Browns and leave Crennel alone. I'm warning you. If you continue to pick on him, I'll tell him about it an he'll come to your house and sit on you while watching last years game films. "All 16 games worth!!!!"

June 22, 2008  06:20 PM ET

God bless him. He could make a great Santa.
