Good. They deserve each others unwanted players.

June 24, 2008  06:04 AM ET

What about a Lebron-Biedrins swap?
These Harrington-Varejao type deals are okay, but don't accomplish much except to send Al back close to where he came from before (Indiana).

Yeah, I know. Cleveland doesn't want to give up Lebron just yet.

June 24, 2008  07:15 AM ET

wonder what the GM Le Bron thinks of this?

June 24, 2008  07:28 AM ET

LeBron doesn't think anything of it.
He won't bother thinking about anything unless the Cavs get 2 more stars, for a net of 3 stars including himself, to match up with Garnett, Pierce, and Allen.

I like Varejao's afro hairstyle. If the trade goes through, I may go see a Warriors game next season just to see what he looks like in real life.
That look kind of reminds me of a young Dr.J. Too bad he can't take over a game like Dr.J.

I like Varejao, but notice how all the floppers are on the trading blocks since the new flopping rule. They just wont be so affective unless they are scorers too like Ginoboli.

June 24, 2008  09:00 AM ET

"notice how all the floppers are on the trading blocks "

Stop.....
all of the ROLE players are on the blocks.....as they ALWAYS are

This trade though, makes no sense for cleveland.....
they need GUARDS that can shoot
not a small forward

June 24, 2008  09:06 AM ET

I would hope they get more for Harrington ....side show bob and a draft pick?

June 24, 2008  09:42 AM ET

jay L lebron needs not a star but a player who can actually get 20 a night. you dont watch much basketball do you??

June 24, 2008  09:42 AM ET

thsi is a great trade for the cavs tho. offense is something they are lacking and AL can bring some points to the table.

June 24, 2008  10:04 AM ET

I hope it happens, it's been a while since Harrington has tore up a strip club in Cleveland!

June 24, 2008  10:26 AM ET

Not a bad deal. Both could really benefit their new teams.

June 24, 2008  10:41 AM ET

Harrington averages 13 and 6 in limited minutes. I think it's a mistake for Golden State to trade him, but Nellie doesn't like him. He could bring LeBron another weapon. Harington is capable of hiiting the jumpshot from downtown and crashes the boards.

June 24, 2008  10:57 AM ET

This would be spot on for the Cavs...Al's not an allstar but would provide scoring help...the way Lebron facilitates the offense Al could/should get AT LEAST 17-18ppg. If this trade is really a possiblity Cavs should pull the trigger...NOW

June 24, 2008  11:22 AM ET

Who plays for who right now ??? Oh never mind I don't really care. I'm sorry I took a sarcastic pill this morning !!1

June 24, 2008  12:26 PM ET

The Cavs get the better end of this deal. Varejo is extremely overrated. Harrington can be good in the right system and with Lebron he should be a lot better.

June 24, 2008  12:28 PM ET

Great trade actually. The cavs need an offensive spark to go alongside Lebron and Gibson, and Harrington can perform well in the minutes given. they'll have to move ben wallace somewhere so harrington can play pf, cause lebron is sf.

Not a bad deal. Both could really benefit their new teams.

Rather, they'll both continue to suck on either teams. peace

Anderson is over rated. Does anyone remember when he wouldnt play in the beg of the season because he wanted a bigger money contract and the Cavs never gave it to him. Lame!
