Nets interested in Camby, Alexander

Look for the Nets to go out of their way to acquire Marcus Camby; they have one team to beat. As part of that deal or independent of it, I expect them to trade back to No. 13 (the Blazers are primed to deal the slot, that's for sure) perhaps to snare West Virginia's Joe Alexander.

Well they should do something, bacause they are never gonna beat the Celtics......LOL. You guys made my morning!!!

June 24, 2008  06:55 AM ET

load of rubbish they are clearing cap space not adding to it

June 24, 2008  07:17 AM ET

nets should be interested in becomeing a decient team. thought they wanted to get young. Camby is no spring chicken in basketball years.

June 24, 2008  08:58 AM ET

Camby would be a good fit in NJ.......
Not sure of his contract situation though.

June 24, 2008  09:34 AM ET

Camby is a defensive stopper. Just don't count on him for many points.

June 24, 2008  10:22 AM ET

Camby WOULD be a good fit, but this isn't happening. All we have been hearing about is the Nets wanting to slash salary, not add it.

June 24, 2008  10:31 AM ET

Never happen. The Nets need an offensive force inside, Camby is Ben Wallace with less hair.

June 24, 2008  10:37 AM ET

Put Camby on a really good defensive team and he will be exposed as the fraud he is.

June 24, 2008  11:20 AM ET

The Nets are interested in this one and that one - but - who's interested in playing for the Nets ???

June 24, 2008  12:36 PM ET

Trade Camby, and who exactly is expected to play defense for Denver? Karl? Bunch of fools

June 24, 2008  12:37 PM ET

The Nuggets will move Camby, they have been involved in so many trade rumors. And they always make trades as well in the last few years.

June 24, 2008  12:40 PM ET

Ya but y move him he is the best defender on dat team

June 24, 2008  12:53 PM ET

if you see nj stats last year you can see that after the trade of kidd thay were very good with their offense.they lose playoffs with their defence.they should improve their defence and their rebounding.so camby is a very good fit.then they will trade rj for odom and they draft a good sf as galinari or koe alexander.and you have a nice run and gun team

June 24, 2008  01:21 PM ET

The nets with Vince will never be a championship contender....

FINALLY for once you and I agree on something!

June 24, 2008  06:02 PM ET

On his right shoulder, the Chinese character for 'overrated' that is.

June 24, 2008  07:08 PM ET

These are two teams that have to start over. It is rare that making change just for the sake of change is a good idea. But it is for these two teams. This is mediocrity that will blossom into just plain bad. Make the move!

June 24, 2008  08:24 PM ET

draft danilo gallinari and marreese speights (the next al jefferson) to take care of the lowpost scoring, and keep the core together with dvin harris, vince carter, and richard jefferson, and all of a sudden they look like a pretty good team. Camby is a block machine, he can't score, he's on the downside of his career, not worth aquiring, adn there is no chance whatsoever that alexander will be there at 13. Make good good picks and stick with what you have and you will be fine.

June 24, 2008  08:27 PM ET

I don't think camby is overrated yoda.......

He is what he is-
An aging center who could give you some minutes

June 24, 2008  08:45 PM ET

Why when you have Sean Williams a force on defense. Though he is young he better right now then Camby. Start Devin Harris and Vince along side him he wont have to score and if they add Joe Alexander they wont have to. Go Joe respect from frederick county though your linganore
