Sports agency sues Dolphins' Allen

Dolphins cornerback Will Allen's name has surfaced yet again in another off-the-field matter over money, this time as a result of a complaint filed against him in Broward County for what has been alleged as ``contract indebtedness.'' The complaint, which was filed June 17 by the sports agency that formerly represented him, claims Allen never began making payments on a settlement that resulted when a lawsuit was scheduled to go to court alleging Allen never paid for the agency's services. When Allen settled out of court with CAA, he agreed to pay nearly $200,000 in past-due commissions that stemmed from a four-year contract signed with the Dolphins in 2006, a person within the sports firm said.

June 25, 2008  07:38 AM ET

What???

Pay up, deadbeat. You too, TO. You lost your arbitration, pay the Eagles the money you owe them.

He was a terrible pick by the Giants. They eventually let him go, why did other teams ever bother with him after that...

June 25, 2008  09:17 AM ET

What's with all these pro players not paying their bills?

June 25, 2008  10:06 AM ET

And, what do they think they'll get from Allen? Money? Hahahaha! Good try!

50yearfan, he was very very good last year. His only problem is, he doesn't catch the football, so no turnovers. But anyone watches film, has graded him really high.

Dr. Z, who is a true football dude through and through (not these fake internet so called experts now) named him to his all-pro team. He is a great covery guy. Just no flashy INTs. Apparently he has brick hands.

That's hilarious - you were kidding, right?

June 25, 2008  02:22 PM ET

never heard of him?

June 25, 2008  02:23 PM ET

Obviously you guys haven't seen him play much. He hardly ever gets burnt he just doesnt get the INT's so yall dont hear much about him. The guy is a good defender.

He absolutely was great last year. It's a bit unfortunate not everyone round him was up to the same standard but he was a real find for Miami last season. He's one of the bright spots of their team (In terms of playing, not off the field conduct).

jdang307 ..You could be right. Maybe it was the defensive schemes the Giants were running. Pretty shake at best. He was hurt a lot with them too. He was drafted along with Will Peterson to be the CBs of the future with the giants. Never panned out..It was the dropped ints that really got to the coaching staff though..

Dr Z? He's like the Dr Phil of football, no cred whatsoever!

I think Allen is associated with the largest builders of church organs in the land of the United States of America.

I like it like that.......

June 25, 2008  11:31 PM ET
