Bowman denies Blackhawks rumor

A report saying Scotty Bowman, the legendary coach and now consultant to the Detroit Red Wings, is close to taking a job in the Blackhawks organization as the head of hockey operations was making the rounds Tuesday but appears to be unfounded. "As long as I'm healthy and there's no change in ownership in Detroit, there will be no change," Bowman told the Detroit Free Press. A Bowman-to-Chicago rumor isn't entirely off-base as the 74-year-old Hockey Hall of Famer has been seen at the United Center as a visitor and his son, Stan, is a Hawks assistant general manager.

The Tiger's are looking to develop him as a 5th starter. This is obvious, since he showed up at Comerica Park the other day...

Yeah, Hockey Bill, they gave him some position in the Wirtz Corporation where he's not involved in the day to day operations of the team. I remenber that. I just can't see Scotty and Pulford in the same town. No love loss between those two.
