Last night a league source said that Charlotte was closing in on a deal with Memphis that would give the Bobcats the fifth pick, with their eye on Russell Westbrook or Kevin Love.

Will they sign Okafor to an outrageous contract and than trade him (+ no.9 pick) to NY for Lee, no.6 and whoever they want?

so I can send you the bill for lost time spent reading worthless story that have no relevence?

Good chance that Adam Morrison will be traded. AND just because we have a lousy owner (think Clippers East), doesn't mean that it's not news.

If I am not mistaken, didn't both Love and Lopez refuse to work out for the Bobcats?

June 26, 2008  08:29 AM ET

Bobcats are looking for alot of help.

June 26, 2008  09:51 AM ET

Kevin Love will be a modern day Danny Ferry. He'll refuse to play for the Bobcats then turn out to be a bust when he finally does play in the NBA.

June 26, 2008  09:52 AM ET

That is a good comparison. Love reminds me a lot of Ferry

June 26, 2008  10:04 AM ET

Love is a way better player than Ferry

June 26, 2008  10:14 AM ET

What's his favorite Color Me Bad song?

It's amazing that the morning of the draft, teams still don't know what they want to do. Last week Jordan wanted Lopez so he could move Okafor to the 4 spot. Now he wants another undersized big.

June 26, 2008  10:52 AM ET

I see Love being very similar to Sean May, without the injuries. Okafor is not really a center, so why draft Love? I don't get it.

Big white guys should never be drafted in the lottery....I would be reluctant to draft ANYONE white...Kevin Love = "Big Country" = Big Bust

...unless they foreign and can actually play basketball....even then its a HUGE RISK...

What an ignorant staement. Did you come up with that all by yourself? Try Larry Bird or Kevin McNale, John Havlicek, or Dave DeBusschere. Wake up. It's 2008.

Very Ignorant statement, tell that to the face of Bird, Nash, Nowitski (wait scratch that one), Gasol, Havilcek, Walton, Lambeer, Mchale (may or may not suck as a GM), George L. Mikan, Jr., Robert J. Cousy (aka Bob Cousy), William Warren "Bill" Bradley,

You may want to do some research before you make damba,s,s remarks like that.

Homegrown White guys....like i said ITS 2008.... Homework? Nash is from Canada buddy...and even so if you're saying Kevin Love will have an impact like Nash...you must be out of your mind. Texasmade, you should turn on the TV and actually watch Basketball TODAY. You can not name 5 HOMEGROWN white guys(meaning they are NOT FOREIGN) that you would be VERY HAPPY being the second or even third option on your team TODAY....Unless you are counting TODAYS SUPERSTARS like....Chris Mihm, Dunleavy Jr., Reddick, Collison, Hinrich, Sczerbiak, Luke Walton, Jason Kapono etc...these guys really do WONDERS for their teams! Please stop living in the past.
