MLB: Willie can't coach All-Star game

07:03 AM ET 06.27 | Willie Randolph still might get honored at the All-Star game at Yankee Stadium for his service to the Bronx Bombers. But despite manager Clint Hurdle's wishes, Randolph will not be a member of his National League coaching staff. After discussions with the league office, Hurdle named Chicago Cubs' boss Lou Piniella to replace Randolph, who was fired by the Mets earlier this month. Hurdle had hoped to keep Randolph on his staff, something he conveyed in voice messages to Randolph after he was let go.
