The Cowboys hope to settle the Terry Glenn situation by training camp in late July, so Jerry Jones said it ends any search for a veteran wide out. A source told ESPN.com that acquiring Joe Horn from the Falcons was a possibility to fill the position if Glenn did not return.

Why would Joe leave? They suck, but Joe is the #1 rec there & Joe likes to be Joe's favorite...

June 29, 2008  09:48 AM ET

It's not true. Jerry Jones said on ESPN during the Dallas Deperado game that it's not true.

Come on, this guy is about 100 years old, and he had less than 500 yds recieving last year!

June 29, 2008  10:21 AM ET

Does Jerry Jones and the Cowboys fall under the same salary cap as the rest of the league or does he have his own,

THIS IS A JOKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

June 29, 2008  11:40 AM ET

Sounds as if Terry took out his pen the moment he heard the 'Boys were thinking of looking at Joe. lol

June 29, 2008  11:41 AM ET

If Glenn doesnt play, Id still rather have Crayton, Austin, Hurd, Stanback, and Amendola than Horn.

June 29, 2008  12:09 PM ET

does not make sense to this cowboy fan. if glenn does not come back you need someone to stretch the field. Horn is a poor man's TO. strong, but not so fast. we already have guys that can do what horn does.

This deal has been in the works for a few months now, as I said in my Blog, how is Joe Horn going to react to living in the shadows of T.O.?! In Atlanta he was not a team player and since he left New Orleans we have heard nothing of him....

June 29, 2008  02:38 PM ET

I just assumed that Joe Horn was already a Dallas Cowboy since that's where he killed Mexicans while a 911 operator recorded the whole thing.

June 29, 2008  02:41 PM ET

Joe leave Atlanta? The Falcs only decent guy (and I say decent with caution because I know Horn isn't the greatest)? Well, it is possible the Falcons have made many stupid moves in their days so what is to stop that here? Well, maybe if Matt Ryan can prove himself then this is a start to end the stupidity but, then again this could be the Falcons one last act of stupidity if they trade for Glenn. Of course let's not forget Vick if he comes back.

June 29, 2008  03:11 PM ET

Jerry Jones had denied this rumor. I saw and heard him say it during the Arena League playoffs. He said he had not pursued Joe Horn nor had he inquired about him.

'Nuff said.

You obviously love crap, because that's what you're talking!!! Horn had low receiving yards because the Falcons didn't have a consistent QB all year. How can a receiver thrive if they are switching QB's almost every week? But I do agree with the 100 yo comment!!!

I dont know why they would want him anyway

June 29, 2008  05:25 PM ET

Joe Horn couldm't beat out Devery Henderson in NOLA. And Devery is AWFUL!

June 29, 2008  05:47 PM ET

Both are on borrowed time and will be lucky to play another season after this coming one. The Cowboys have an aging TO and desparately need to look at getting younger at WR in the next draft.
