Tucker to Calgary Flames?

Darcy Tucker, a Calgary Flame. Love it or hate it, it might just be a perfect fit. No, it hasn't happened yet and, no, we're not suggesting it absolutely will. But you can bet it's a possibility -- an intriguing one -- that general manager Darryl Sutter is looking into as he prepares for the lifting of the free-agent freeze Tuesday. After all, Sutter tried to trade for Tucker just a few years back. Bought out of the final three years of his four-year, $12-million US contract by the Leafs last week, the 33-year-old forward will enter the open market knowing he'll be paid $2 million by the Leafs no matter where he toils. With that in mind, the question now is: What is Tucker looking for come Canada Day?

Actually, he would be a good fit for Calgary. He is a Sutter kind of player that still has some good years left and a royal pain in the butt.

I could also see him going to the Rangers if Avery moves on.

Hey boston I agree with ya on this one and I think he'd be a good fit in calgary
I kinda doubt he'll end up there though

I wish Darcy all the best. He competed hard every night for the Leafs. He will be missed.

No no Darcy, not Calgary! If you want to come West, come to Edmonton!! :)

Oilers4Ever, I'm with you there! Darcy will be a good addition to any team! Except Calgary!

A true impact player, he is not. True Leafs fans know he was overvalued. Shedding few tears, they are.

I liked his style of play and his heart. For that, he will be missed. I think his body is giving out after all these years of giving it all every game. Most players don't do that.
Good luck in Calgary if that's where you're going Darcy.

Well, he was born in Alberta, so this would be a homecoming of sorts. His family can take care of him while he's injured most of the up coming year. I smell the Sheldon Souray fiasco all over again.

Call me nuts..but this is one of the guys that I was wishing the Wings would see if they could sign.

And no BGM ...that wasn't an invite to call me crazy over and over again..hahah

I'd take Avery over Tucker in Deadmonton.

But to have both in the West would be great.
