Cadillac's 'amazing' comeback

Bucs fans should be highly encouraged this offseason that running back Cadillac Williams is apparently showing a lot of progress during his rehabilitation. However, there has to be a healthy blend of realism, optimism and pessimism. His injury was so severe, it was highly questionable if Williams would ever play football again. Coach Jon Gruden said Williams' progress was "one of the most amazing comebacks that I've seen" during minicamp, but playing him this season might be one of the biggest risks he has ever taken. First and foremost, Tampa Bay does not need Williams this season. The Bucs may want to see him play, but do not have to.

its not his rejuvenation qualities that are a concern, its his durability. Bodog has his playing a full 16 games at 1000 to 1..

The Bucs need someone else to carry the ball so they can limit Cadillac to about 15-20 per game.

I hope the Bucs sign someone else and let the Cadillac wait until he is right. He is still pretty young and could have a big future.

It is about money.

"It is probably no coincidence that in the midst of Graham's contract dispute, Williams worked out when media were allowed to watch practice. Yet, Williams was not seen the following day during practice."

And there you have it. It is not about Williams, they are not giving up a roster spot to him, it is about the contract for the guy they are going to use, the one that saved them last year..

They could always use him on special teams. Limited play but still a contributor.

Protect that investment and don't put him back on the field too soon. That guy is a dog! 100% and doctors clearance is the key!

i agree, he probably got used to sharing the carries with ronnie brown, he doesn't really have the durability to get 90% of the carries on an NFL team, sign Kevin Jones, those two would be great together in the backfield.

I love the Cadillac.

i saw a video somewhere of Williams climbing some stairs recently and he didnt appear to be doing it effortlessly.. he was using the rail. i dont think hes going to be ready until next season if ever.

Rest Caddilac, the Bucs have a good RB corps to support the team this year.

Ironic...the Bucs invested time and effort into Cadillac...and it turns out he is a Pontiac.

I wish that guy who was into the promulgation of pole dancing would get back at it. It is a truly important sport and beautiful event.
