Mats Sundin's indecision about where or if he will play next season continued for another day yesterday, while on another front, speculation is hot over the possibility of former standout goalie Curtis Joseph returning to the Maple Leafs when the NHL free-agent market opens Tuesday.

wow im so excited for this backup goalie to play less than 10 games behind Vesa!

June 29, 2008  11:05 AM ET

The Leafs can do without Cujo, thank-you very much.

June 29, 2008  11:09 AM ET

At age 62 he should be a great addition to their rebuilding the team.

everyone hold on to your little panties it's gonna be an all out bidding war !

Baund-ed, I am with you, brother.

I have a long memory, and remember when he skipped town to Detroit a few years back. It wasn't just that he left, but his remarks upon leaving were distasteful and arrogant. He said that the Leafs didn't want to win, and he was leaving for an organization serious about winning. It was poetic that Detroit canned him for Hasek, then won without him.

Go elsewhere, Cujo.

June 29, 2008  02:08 PM ET

Cujo has never won anything, not to say he had his chances, especially in Detroit. Too late now

June 29, 2008  02:36 PM ET

I can't see much sense in this post... Getting too hot for you folks in Toronto...

June 29, 2008  05:06 PM ET

Just stay away from Edmonton, Cujo! Nobody wants you there!

June 29, 2008  05:44 PM ET

No conficencd in Toskala guy.....

June 29, 2008  05:47 PM ET

A 7 year deal with a no-trade clause, he shall receive.

June 29, 2008  06:51 PM ET

I for one think that as a BACKUP he will do fine. He would be a sort of mentor for Toskala.
Everyone seems to forget that he had many good years in T.O. I remember that he left town like an idiot but, in a supporting role, he would be fine.

June 29, 2008  09:47 PM ET

"He said that the Leafs didn't want to win, and he was leaving for an organization serious about winning."

What part of that wasn't true?

June 29, 2008  09:59 PM ET

Every part of what he said was true. Leafs fans just can't handle that fact, and have to bash on a class act like Cujo.

June 30, 2008  05:24 AM ET

If you're a Mats Sundin fan this could be a smart move. Chokeseph has been one of Sundin's favourite teammates and best friends, so his signing with the Leafs could convince Sundin to resign

June 30, 2008  07:27 AM ET

Is Johnny Bower a free agent this year?

June 30, 2008  08:22 AM ET

He is Popking, but the problem is Johnny refuses to conform to the New goalie equipment regulations. He just doesn't see the point in wearing a mask especially when all the shooters sticks just break upon impact...

June 30, 2008  08:59 AM ET

The Wings also paid him 8.5 that summer to stink up the joint. The Leafs were right in not retaining his services.

yeah that was one of our bigger screwups....big sigh of relief when he left town

Here we go for July 1...post up anytime. Figured we could get one thread going on the free agents and trades,....keeps us from having to post in 10-20 different threads.

Baun-ded:
Ya, but he is more likely to get hit in the face with a piece of shrapnel from those exploding stick as he would from a puck.

June 30, 2008  11:04 AM ET

Wow! Someone who WANTS to play for the Leafs.
This guy is just happy to have a job ANYWHERE.

June 30, 2008  11:16 AM ET

It's time for Cujo to hang 'em up for good.........
