Osgood takes Cup to Plymouth
It's a long way from Peace River, Alberta -- Chris Osgood's hometown. The beloved Red Wing goaltender, however, wanted to share his third Stanley Cup with his neighbors from his adopted hometown of Plymouth. Wearing a long-sleeved No. 15 Brandon Inge dark blue T-shirt, Osgood did just that late Tuesday night at Sean O'Callaghan's, located in downtown Plymouth. Word spread quickly on the street that the Cup and Osgood were inside the Irish pub. Lines formed outside 821 Penniman Avenue to get a glimpse of North America's oldest professional sports trophy, which is made of silver and nickel alloy. And once you gained entrance inside O'Callaghan's, it was pure bedlam. "Oh, my God, I just drank out of the Stanley Cup,'' said one female patron as she exited the bar. While patrons poured their alcoholic beverages into the Cup for a chance at a celebratory swig, Osgood patiently accommodated, hunched over and standing on top of the bar, while pouring the bulky 34-pound trophy. Osgood certainly worked up a sweat, sipping on water as he took mini-breaks before being summoned for another round of pouring.

I hope that those who drank from the Cup were vaccinated beforehand. It sounds like he had a bigger workout speading the "joy" than he got from the Penguins in the final.

In fact he has, though that doesn't seem to mean anything. He may join the "will he/won't he" bunch of Sakic and Forsberg

DC: I don't care what community you're in-- sharing the same drinking vessel is not a good idea. Something about backwarsh.

Glad to see he has stepped out of Hasek's shadow. Hasek overstayed his welcome in the league by about 4 years.

Are they going to damage it there too?? Oh wait.. that one old guy is not there is he? Geeze I go away for a few months and the NHL falls apart by letting the Wings win the cup and then they damage it! LOL
Ok ok, Congrats Wings on a dominating season!

^^^ Good save arisDragon. Didn't want to have to start an e-brawl with ya.
I'd drink out of the cup. Considering just seeing it in my life would be a stretch but if the wings win it again and I was there I'd drink out of the cup, hug the cup, snuggle the cup, etc.
