Word in Jacksonville, Fla., is that ex-Viking Troy Williamson had the best minicamp workouts of any Jaguars player, not just wideouts.

Bull **** ****! If that's the case I would worry about who the Jags will take with the first pick next year.

July 1, 2008  08:58 AM ET

Not shocked.... the Vikings have not had a QB to throw to any of the WR

So. It's what you do in a game that matters. What's he ever done?

If memory serves me right... dropped a lot of passes that what he's done.

Tarvaris Jackson could make Jerry Rice look like a bust...he is horrible and should not be a starting QB...nuff said

July 1, 2008  11:01 AM ET

So he can run around really well in shorts and look good....I'm really impressed

July 1, 2008  11:09 AM ET

Fellas, I'm a HUGE Vikings fan and this pathetic excuse for an NFL WR was not caused by TJack. Has anyone ever seen this guy actually catch a pass that has hit him in the hands???

He's like that guy from "NECESSARY ROUGHNESS"..."Stonehands"

July 1, 2008  11:46 AM ET

It is mini camp and not a real game. I will wait to see how he does come gametime when he has a nother player trying to defend against him catching it or a player ready to hit him hard if he does catch it.

July 1, 2008  11:54 AM ET

The Vikings gave him every chance......eye doctors, coordination people......still dropped easy passes...........throw it to him away from his body....he would catch it........over the shoulder=ZERO.............I am die-hard Viking, but we had to move on......good luck Troy

Please, like anyone from Chicago should be talking about quarterbacks. TJacks numbers would look much better too if you factor in all the open bombs this guy dropped and the three touchdowns our tight end shiancoe dropped in the end zone. Williamson was the worst receiver I have ever seen while he was in Minnesota

July 1, 2008  01:34 PM ET

This guy needs a job, bad!

July 1, 2008  02:00 PM ET

I dont even like Grossman...i am pretty sure no one does in chicago...the bears are just too cheap to make a run at a FA QB or pay a high draft pick QB...TJACKS wont be a starting QB by the end of this season...guaranteed...Randy Moss also was a terrible WR in Oakland...he dropped passes, ran wrong routes, etc.....I am not saying williamson is the next big thing....but give this guy a good QB and he will be solid....lets face it...TJACKS is the weak link on an otherwise talented Vikings team...Vikings go 8-8 if Jacksons starts all 16

I'm honestly sick of the "He's having a great camp" line. I've heard it used to often to build hype about players who are clear BUSTS. Maybe Williamson will be better. Who knows. But one thing is sure. We won't know judging by how he does in OTAs, how he does in minicamp, or how he does in the preseason when there's essentially no pressure and the "good" players aren't really trying. We'll know when the regular season rolls around.

July 1, 2008  02:54 PM ET

Next in line to suck for the Vikings, Bernard Berrian.

July 1, 2008  03:02 PM ET

I had a great camp once. Even took a tramp in the woods. ....

July 1, 2008  03:54 PM ET

Funny thing is they said the same thing last season. Everyone said Williamson had a great camp.. and he caught thousands of balls, and saw a vision specailist and all this stuff. Too bad when it came to game time he choked on a regular basis. Needless to say I'm skeptical. I'll wait until I see him making plays in a real game....

July 1, 2008  05:00 PM ET

Guy dropped a lot of balls.... but, Dude never had a decent QB before.

July 1, 2008  05:09 PM ET

Stay down there in Florida.

July 1, 2008  05:28 PM ET

he will flourish playing in a half-filled stadium and dropping passes from his overpaid and overrated QB

July 1, 2008  07:15 PM ET

I think with better coaching, T-Will will flourish. T-Wills development was hampered by lack good coaching. Jax's offensive coaching staff is far superior than the A-D dominated run left philos.
