Mets: Delgado to lose at-bats

06:52 AM ET 07.01 | Carlos Delgado's lack of range is about to cost the veteran first baseman playing time late in games. Jerry Manuel revealed here yesterday that his decision to yank Delgado late for defensive purposes twice in the Subway Series was a sign of things to come and not an aberration. Manuel plans to make veteran infielder Fernando Tatis a regular replacement for Delgado when there are six or fewer outs left in games the Mets are winning and Delgado is unlikely to get another at-bat. "He spoke to me, and I don't have a problem with it," Delgado said after last night's 7-1 loss here to the Cardinals.
