Indiana: Sampson hire was mistake

Hiring Kelvin Sampson was "a risk that should not have been taken," Indiana University President Michael McRobbie told the NCAA infractions committee last month at a hearing closed to the public and media. The comment came during McRobbie's closing statement June 14 at the end of a two-day hearing in Seattle over allegations of four major rules violations by Sampson, IU's former men's basketball coach, and former assistant Rob Senderoff. Adam Herbert was IU's president at the time. McRobbie took over July 1, 2007. He had no supervisory responsibility over athletics before then. The infractions case pits IU against the coaches, who claimed they did not knowingly break rules and that the school's compliance department was negligent by failing to inform them of any problems for several months.

That's the effin' miscarriage of justice in the whole damn thing. The players really did not do anything. It was the coach who committed the illegal actions not once, but twice. Meanwhile, he get a golden parachute and the school and kids get the mess. Die Kelvin Sampson DIE!!!!!!!!!

"The players really did not do anything. It was the coach who committed the illegal actions not once, but twice. Meanwhile, he get a golden parachute and the school and kids get the mess"

The AD KNEW sampson was a dirtbag & they still hired him
it is not SAMPSON who screwed the program....it is the AD

So you can blame sampson if you want- but you are making the typical mistake of not understanding the ROOT of the problem-

It's like a Liquor stor owner hiring an alcoholic to run the shop

**** idiots. A few more months of this crap in the news is gonna be great. God, I knew when they hired him we were selling our soul. Something about him said,"I have my own agenda." This guy is the most hated man in Indiana, up their with Miles Brand.

Seems to me the "root of the problem" is the individual that MADE the mistakes. Yes, the AD is also to blame for hiring him, but if you are suggesting that Sampson is not responsible, well, that's perhaps the most idiotic thing I have seen on here in quite some time.
