Super Bowl or bust for Wade?

Coaches from playoff teams aren't usually on the hot seat. Then again, not many coaches preside over teams that haven't won a playoff game since 1996, are expected to go to the Super Bowl in 2008 and have the next head coach, Jason Garrett, ready to step in at a moment's notice. Wade Phillips has the temperament to withstand the pressure. Besides, he's no stranger to being fired. But it doesn't make the pressure any less real. So if the Cowboys don't make the postseason, or if they don't win a game or two once they get there, Wade won't be back in 2009.

With as much talent as the Cowboys have(on paper for right now), they should be the best in the NFC. So yes, Super Bowl or get fired.

Hey "Fan of Football", for a guy who has so little to say, you take up so much space. What gives FoF? There are better ways to show your displeasure for your boredom. Try a rubics cube or something. Sometimes a cold shower can work miracles. But stop the hate and anger FoF. You best get used to all the Cowboy stories/non-stories. Anyways, back to the topic at hand, Wade might not save his job even if he wins it all. Jerry's chomping at the chance to get Garrett in there. And honestly, if Wade can't do it with this group of athletes, then someone else needs to come in.

I will love my Boys regardless but it's getting harder to handle the losses.

Tell him, BoBo. I thought there was something wrong with the thread.
Any non-Cowboy fan that wants to keep the Cowboys threads coming, just keep commenting. We find it amusing.

The Vikings and Philly? What football games have you been watching?

July 2, 2008  08:56 AM ET

Well, they have had a remarkably healthy team the last two years, with many of the same pieces, and Parcells was the coach for one of those years, they had a bye in another. They have been set up for great playoff runs and it hasn't happened. It doesn't mean it won't happen, but even for the best teams in the league, nothing is guaranteed. Afterall, the Pats and Colts have only won one SB in the last 4 years.

I is the man is correct as they so called experts have said the Vikes
