Oakmont 'harder' than Winged Foot

Everyone stopped and watched when Tiger Woods, striking in a white hat and matching shirt, approached the No. 9 green Monday morning and practiced chipping and putting at Oakmont Country Club. PGA Tour pros playing Oakmont in preparation for the 107th U.S. Open on June 11-17 found a course softened slightly by rain to be more treacherous than its predecessor. "This was harder than Winged Foot the Monday 10 days before that tournament," said Geoff Ogilvy, who won the 2006 Open with a 5-over-par 285 at the Mamaroneck, N.Y.

Well i have never been to Winged Foot but i have been to Oakmont and as an amateur golfer i thought the challenge of playing it would be awesome but i doubt i could break 85 there and i play off single figures! Its one tough mother.

OK Boys:

This is the scoop the sluggers of Sluggers Row and they know who they are going to have a difficult time at Oakmont. They think Winged Foot was hard wait till they play Oakmont.

The Sluggers who have a poor GIR (greens in regulation) percentage are going too really light it up. The ones who don't make the cut are going to be leaving with their eyes crossed some may have to help off the course.
The winers and the cryiers are going to say that Oakmont is too hard.

Ben Hogan who came back from a near fatal accident in 1949 came to Oakmont in 1950 and won the U.S. Open and didn't complain once.

My suggestion to the Sluggers on this course do not play the 45" metal driver play the 43" Wood driver. On this course you must be able to maneuver the ball in order to stay in the fairway; If the Sluggers play the
45" driver they will be playing army golf (left right left right) the scores will light like fire works.

My pick to win the U.S. Open Sean O'Hare.

Ernest that could be the dumbest comment I have heard in a while. People who miss greens or going to light it up. Obviously you are not a golfer because that statement in golf means you are playing good not bad. And Sean O'Hair win the open you have got to be kidding me. Did you not see him everytime he played the sevententh at Sawgrass he looked like he was going to throw up. If you can not handle the nerves at the Players there is no way he can handle the nerves at the US Open.
