Villanova got an early start on its freshman basketball class of 2009 yesterday, receiving an oral commitment from Isaiah Armwood, a 6-foot-8 forward from Montrose Christian School in Rockville, Md., according to his high school coach. Armwood averaged about 13.5 points and more than 10 rebounds during his junior season, when Montrose Christian finished 22-4 and in the national top 25. Armwood chose Villanova over two other finalists, Texas and Syracuse. Guard Terrell Vinson, a Montrose Christian teammate, also is reported to be considering Villanova.

Not a UT fan at all but this guy will regret it if he's heterosexual, UT's coeds are some of the best on God's green earth.

Once again where is Gary Williams and the Maryland Terrapins in the discussion? A lot of good talent has come out of Maryland over the years and he misses on all of them.

Damn, and I thought I had it bad as a St. John's fan with Norm missing out on talent. I think Maryland has it worse.

I don't know Field Marshall Sunny Day. Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant are two HUGE names who left the state to go elsewhere.
