Angels not making moves

There have been no indications from Angels decision-makers that they're inclined to make any major moves - or any other moves - in the wake of their recent offensive problems. They remain reluctant to part with any of their premium prospects for a short-term solution, although the possibility exists that their attitude could change if the offense doesn't bust out with some runs before the All-Star break. Purely speculative: if the Padres decide to dump salaries, Brian Giles certainly would fit into the Angels' style with his ability to make contact, get on base, keep rallies alive -- and his toughness.

I don't really think they need to make any earth-shattering moves.....

Yep. Get everyone healthy and their fine. GA's homer last nite to win the game could spark them offensively

Do the Angels need another outfielder?

Nope. The ANGELS have enough outfielders. Once they get out of that collective slump, they'll be alright. Hopefully, the turn of events last night will get them some momentum going into the All-Star break.

Angels fans need to relax. This is the same slump as last year and the year prior and the playoffs versus the White Sox. They will snap out of it and start putting up runs in bunches. The great thing about the Halos is that even when they are in a pronounced slump, Scoscia can still squeak out some wins with smart coaching. Thank god for the pitching staff. They have been phenomenal. Three (maybe 4) all stars. Lackey has been the best in the game. Please, no trades.

Giles to the Angels is a great speculation.

Giles also fits the Angels style by being another extra outfielder

So then why the story?

The only trade that makes sense is Matt Holliday
