Michigan RB arrested for DUI
Michigan junior tailback Kevin Grady was arrested early Wednesday on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The arrest, which came in Wyoming, Mich., just outside of Grady's hometown of Grand Rapids, was confirmed by Wyoming district court administrator Chris Kittmann. Grady was stopped and arrested at 1:54 a.m. in the vicinity of Byron Center and 44th Street in Wyoming. He remained in jail until mid-morning and was released on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond. The Grand Rapids Press reported he blew a 0.281. Michigan's legal definition of drunk is 0.08. Grady is scheduled to have a hearing next Wednesday morning on the charge.

.281 BAC!? Did he think he was in Columbus or something? What a complete idiot he is. RR should kick him off the team.

It looks like Mr. Fumble is at it again...
Not sure RR has huge spots for a back like ihm. Look for the faster backs to get more reps anyways...

Maybe this was his way of saying, "I don't want to be on the team anymore."

4vr,
did you not see that he had a .281 BAC or is that normal for you? It wasn't that he had one beer. He weighs about 230 so he would have had to have ~15-17 beers.
Is that just having a beer for you? And I am REALLY REALLY holding back with the OSU jabs with drinking and being drunk because I am REALLY disappointed with Kevin because he's come back from a very nasty knee blow out and had the opportunity to FINALLY shine this year after braving through being in Mike Hart's shadow.

A beer? More like 20 beers. Grady was been a huge disappointment from the day he stepped on campus.
On a positive note, I cant wait to watch USC destroy The Fighting Tressels!

4vr - nothing like this should be taken lightly. He could have killed someone or himself. It is a crime where people are given way too many chances. Kick him off the team, then kick his arse.

thunder,
you are right..RR drives his players to drink and drive. I don't know why I didn't see that. You are one sharp feller. I just won the lotto and I need someone sharp like you to invest and manage my winnings. I think you are the person to do that. Whadda say?

I just love how people get high and mighty about DUI's when everyone knows atleast one person that has one or has gotten one themselves.
Now the .281 is just rediculous, no way he should have been driving or even around a car. That just amazing.

and yeah kick him off the team and kick his a.s.s.? really?
So he makes a HUGE mistake and could have potentially killed someone, Im not making light of that, but instead of kicking him out of something that could help him, why not get him some help, give him some guidance and structure, instead of kicking him to the curb?
He obviously has a problem and needs help not, some of the most important figures in his life to turn his back on him.
Just a thought.

Get used to it Michigan fans. Get used to it. It will not be long before the Ann Arbor News gets a crime reporter to take over the Michigan football beat.

Probably a lot of college students have gotten behind a wheel when we were not really "capable" of driving. But in today's environment with the huge crackdown on drunk driving (and the crackdown is definitely justified) people need to stop being stupid. Drunk driving is no longer tolerated and sometime soon it will be prosecuted much more diligently than it is now. Historically, athletes in "college towns" have gotten breaks on DD charges, but that has changed as well.

.281 is a hell of a lot of beer. Especially for a guy his size. I'm not going to kick him off the team but considering he's a big back and RR looks for smaller and speedier backs, I think the writing is on the wall for him at Michigan. He needs to go find a chance to play somewhere else.

When RR meets players he typically shakes their hand and THEN does a line of coke with them. Sometimes he shakes it up and goes out B&E'ing or beats an innocent by stander.
Mr. Beepo and thunder are onto something here. Clearly football players were incapable of getting into trouble before RR got here. Luckily RR is here to steer them in the wrong direction so that they are prepared to enter the NFL...
