Tiger has tested for drugs

The era of drug testing has arrived for the PGA Tour, which can randomly test players, beginning this week at the AT&T National at Congressional Country Club. As for whether drug testing is going to be relevant, of course it is. Why? Because Tiger Woods pushed the plan, and did not hesitate when asked on a brief conference call with reporters Tuesday whether he had already done any testing on his own in the last several months. "Yeah, I have," he said. "I've done it twice, actually." The PGA Tour has gone to great lengths to make sure its players understand the rules of the testing, undertaking a comprehensive educational program. The players seem to have gotten the message, although some, such as Frank Lickliter, have voiced concerns about privacy.

This is just like any other sport....the roids can't make you hit the ball, but it can make you hit it further.

Being that Tiger is the only golfer that looks like he lifts weights and exercises, it's funny to hear that he's the one pushing for the testing.

I can see it now, positive test results for the cream and HGH for Colin, Lefty, and Sergio.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Tiger is on roids by any means. I'm just saying that alot of people overreact when you hear about PEDs and roids.
You have to have talent to make it big in your sport to begin with. Roids and PEDs just "ENHANCE' your already natural ability. Besides, isn't it fun to watch a guy hit a golf ball almost 400yds or a baseball more than 500ft?

tiger testing positive is like daly passing a breathe test after a night out with kid rock...

anytime you are in a professional sport you should be tested.. i don't care who you are.. for the money that these people make they should be tested no matter what sport they are in

Roids aren't going to help anyone win a golf tournament. The game takes mental strength and finness. Think about it for a while. Put Barry Bonds up against five foot six inch 127 pound Lorena Ochoa and see what happens.

This is just one more item added to a long list of bonehead things that Tim Finchem can call his own. Some day the Tour execs will see that.

I think we should be sure to test Jack Nicklaus next year prior to playing in the par 3 tournament at the Masters. And, while were at it, we should maybe test all the guys on the senior tour. You know I wouldn't be surprised if Jeff Sluman was taking roids. He won a couple of weeks ago and he could be on something.

What do you think Tim, do you want to make Jeffy your next target? Or, maybe Ben Crenshaw.

The LEAST likely sport to use 'Roids is Golf. Range of motion is far too important. It would actually be detrimental to playing the game at the highest levels.
