White Sox showcasing Uribe?
Posted: Saturday July 05, 2008 08:29AM ET
While the White Sox don't appear to be in the market for any big-ticket items before July 31, they may be willing to tweak their roster before then by trading extra men like Juan Uribe. Uribe started for a second straight game Friday -- one at shortstop and one at second base -- leading to speculation he could be dealt soon. Now that he has lost his starting job at second to Alexei Ramirez, Uribe may be made available to teams such as the Dodgers or Orioles, who have had interest since spring training.

Why would anyone want him as more than an emergency backup? It's been 3 years since he's batted over.235 and his fielding is just average.

Report Offensive CommentColetrain, since when does "not good" have anything to do with the Orioles putting you in uniform? This article does not mention a possible secret deal with the Redskins at a high salary or the Pittsburgh Pirates for a low one. If he could get busted for a felony we may have a future Cowboy here.
