According to confidential sources in Italy, Didier Drogba has agreed to move to San Siro to join Inter Milan. Sources say that Drogba has already agreed a move with Inter, and that all that is required to complete the deal is for a transfer fee to be sorted. The Ivorian could be included in the same deal that will see Frank Lampard end up at the Stadio Meazza.

I have to wonder if Drogba is already on the backside of his career. Plus, his game is very similar to Ibra's.

I guess Jose knows better than I do...

Ibra is a "10" trapped in the body of a "9", Drogba is a scorer. How can they be similar?
Anyway, the Nerazzurri just signed Obinna and Kerlon and now have kinda 9 forwards... It's pretty obvious they aren't going to add others without selling first...

Ask me if I really care.

do you care?

He will tear up Italy under Mourinho

Ibra and Drogba may be the best duo in the game

Ibra and Drogba would be SCARY to defend against. They have both size and technique

Something tells me this isn't a rumor and Lampard's deal is nearly finished. Great news for Inter. Alot of mixed feelings at Chelsea.

Yep, now Inter have a thug to run up front with Ibra. It's nice to know that Jose has reached out to the thugs of the world too.

With this signing there is no doubt inter should continue domintating serie A

July 6, 2008  07:03 PM ET

Ibra and Drogba really are very similar in playing styles, except Drogba has a bit more of a nose for net and a bit less skill (obviously). I can't think it would be a good strategy to have both of your forwards spending 90% of the time with their backs to goal.

Ibra and drogba can't work together??? they said the same thing about tevez and rooney.

July 6, 2008  08:06 PM ET

I'm sure its possible they'll work together beautifully. However, they're also both well recognized primadonnas who will want to play similar roles on the team.

With Jose's hardon for Drogba I can see Ibra getting very irritated very quickly if he thinks he isn't being used enough or in the proper role.

July 6, 2008  08:09 PM ET

As long as thier winning everything probably will be OK. If they win the chances are Ibra and Drogba will cause no problems. They should win

July 6, 2008  08:26 PM ET

My team Inter-Milan does not need Drogba!! They need a 2nd forward who can play on the wing such as Sneijder or Robinho. I don't think this rumor to be true though.

July 6, 2008  11:24 PM ET

if this is true it makes sense, i mean drogba is in love with jose, so... Ibra and drogba would make a killer pair, but, that would cuz time for suazo, who i like way more than drogba and i feel has earned some solid pt alongside ibra/cruz. ...and Inter should dominate Italy regardless

"Confidential Sources in Italy"?
Did this T&R story come in a silver briefcase with a few stacks of non-sequential $100 bills?
