Red Sox discussed adding Bonds

ESPN's Peter Gammons said on Sunday night's Red Sox-Yankees game broadcast that the Red Sox have had "internal discussions" about Barry Bonds, but he considers a workout for the 43-year-old free agent unlikely. Red Sox pitcher and vocal Bonds critic Curt Schilling, who is out for the season, Monday morning on Boston sports radio station WEEI called the possibility of Bonds coming to Boston for the stretch run "three months of a PR nightmare." More from Schilling: "That would be an eye-opener for sure. I know Barry said in the past that he hates the city of Boston. I really don't know. I hadn't thought about that one, I didn't think that was on the radar."

MLB is so lame. Sure...blame Bonds for steroids. And the manly Bonds he ain't the only ahole in MLB and from it's past. Many, many more...white, black, red, yellow. Screwed-up league of juicers. But, no - go ahead and put the entire picture on Bonds. Let old Hank be the ****....MLB needs one to try and forget it's racism past.

What do they need him for? Ortiz has started taking PB. Insurance?

Every team has had some type of 'internal discussions' about Bonds. So what?

They needed some help on how to mask certain supplements.

We've heard enough from you Mr. Schilling, you idiot. Go get your TV job with the rest of the morons on Fox&Friends and leave baseball fans alone.

I hope no one signs him but wouldnt be surprised if Boston tried it. Its obvious they think they need someone to bat around Manny and Ortiz is sounding questionable since they are looking everywhere for a lefty bat.

Schilling forgets that the Red Sox are stuck with one of the most adversarial press corps in sports. Everything's an issue and everything's a problem with the Bostonian Knights of the Keyboard.

Somebody on the team breaks wind during their sleep and it's a PR nightmare. Having Bonds running loose in Boston would not make a difference. The Red Sox are getting creamed in the press for the crime of "talking about Bonds". It won't get any worse by actually hiring the guy.....

"Internal discussion"
"What do you think about Bonds?"
"I think he's a cancer"

End of internal discussion

btw, Bond 007, you're an A-h0le for calling Hank Aaron an UncleTom. The guy conducted himself with class and dignity in an era fraught with racial problems and he earned the respect of an entire nation. If that's an ****, there should be more who aspire to join the **** Club.

He does that purposely to get a rise out of people. If you want to get at him ignore him. Otherwise you're feeding a stray dog.
Anyone who doesn't recognize what Aaron dealt with and how he handled it doesn't merit an answer.
