So the irredeemably insufferable idiot poison dwarf feels it necessary to step into the feud between Brian Burke and Kevin Lowe at this late stage, does he? What, the perpetually grumpy Burke gets to say just what he likes for twelve months and the second K-Lowe retaliates they are told to shut up? Outrageous. What kind of management style is that? Neither of these GMs has covered himself with glory here IMO, but the Commissioner playing favourites is unacceptable. This man should depart forthwith, if not sooner.

Yeah, sorry Gary - you lost any right to interject yourself when you let Burke say whatever he wanted for months before now.

I think Kevin Lowe is a pretty crummy GM for a variety of reasons - his statement about "comparing rings" was pretty ridiculous, because he got all of his as a player, not a manager - but it was totally reasonable for him to defend himself.

As for Bettman, his poor management of the current Predators financial scandal is reason enough for him to resign.

This has been my position on the twerp from day 1. He was on a local radio sports talk show on his first day on the job (David Pratt's Sports Machine in Hongcouver) and I phoned up and got to talk to him. I asked him "what business a basketball guy had becoming a commisioner for the NHL?"

He launched into some double speak diatribe about how "so many good things have happened in the NBA lately and how I'd like to bring many of them into play in the NHL to assisit it's fan base in growing...."

I phoned back later on on an open line segment because the idiot host was going on about "how it looked like great days ahead for the NHL, etc".

I called Bettsetin the "Devil Incarnate and it won't be long before you (the host David Pratt) will be talking out of the other side of your face..."

I've dropped him "I told you so" emails many times since.

Lowe and Burke should be made to put on the gloves and go 3 rounds on neutral ground, say Columbus, and settle it like men. All this talk is only worthy of a 10 minute misconduct.

The marksmen would have to be lying down to hit their marks. I don't know If even I would go quite that far. I just want him gone. Abe Lincoln once said something about the easiest way to p/o people was to try to please everyone 9he of course was a little more eloquent than I...I can't be bothered looking up the real quote). As a matter of exampkle, all of Mini Me's efforts to grab "the casual fan" have proven to be a disaster, at least from a 'Hockey Purist's" standpoint.

Let me see now! Buttman allows Burke to go on and on with his fetid verbal diarrhea for a whole year and says nothing! When Lowe???s had enough, he puts the bully in his place and all of a sudden Buttman is concerned?

Why do you suppose that is? Because it was Burke bashing a hick Canadian GM, that???s why! Do you think for a moment Buttman would have remained silent this long if it was Lowe bashing Burke? Never!

Shows you where his loyalties lie! Gary doesn???t give a rip about true hockey people, especially on the Canadian side of the border! All he cares about are his beloved ???expansion teams??? in markets that su*ck, and for his Ivy League buddies!
